A good event shirt does two jobs. It makes your volunteers and participants feel like a team on the day, and it keeps spreading your message every time someone wears it afterwards. Here is how Saskatoon charities and community groups get the most out of their fundraiser shirts.

Choose a shirt people will wear again

A scratchy shirt ends up in a drawer. A soft one gets worn to the gym, the lake and the grocery store, which is free advertising for your cause all year. Our event and fundraiser tees are soft cotton and cotton blend styles that come in youth, ladies and adult sizes and keep the cost per shirt low.

Three ways shirts raise money

1. Sell them

Order at bulk pricing and sell at a set price. On 48 or more pieces you already save 24%, so the gap between your cost and your sale price goes straight to the cause.

2. Bundle them with registration

Include a shirt with every walk or run registration. Participants love it, and it nudges people to sign up early to get their size.

3. Let sponsors pay for them

Put sponsor logos on the back or sleeve. Each extra print area is $9 per shirt, or $8 on 24 or more. Many local businesses are happy to cover the shirt cost in exchange for the exposure.

Example: 100 shirts with a front design and a sponsor back. You get 35% off the shirts at 100 pieces, and a few sponsors chipping in can cover most of the bill.

Design tips for cause shirts

  • Keep the message short. The event name, year and one line about the cause read best from across a parking lot.
  • Use your cause colours. A bright shirt colour makes your group easy to spot and great in photos.
  • Add the date and year. It turns the shirt into a keepsake and people collect them year after year.
  • Full colour is fine. We print with DTF, so a colourful logo costs the same as a one colour one.

Timeline that works

Book your shirts at least two weeks before the event. That gives time for registrations to come in, a final size count, and 2 to 5 business days for printing. Running late? Products marked Rush can be ready in 1 to 2 business days for $15 per piece.
